From Mike Rogers: I remember the La State trooper performing for the crowd during the lunch break at the only Cajun Gran Prix that I made it to in the 70's, must have been '72 or '73, if there is a silver Corvette in the background, that's me. I was on the spectator side, not the SCCA side of the runway. This was the early track layout, not the one that was run in the 80's, and yes, there were hundreds of spectators. It was like Contraband Days does Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland.
