
Region 44, SOuthWEst LouisianA (SOWELA) of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) appreciates your interest and support. The SCCA is a nationwide organization comprised of dozens of chapters, called regions, that cover the entire U.S. Our region exists to promote the enjoyment of sports and high performance cars by conducting motorsports events in both Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas. Club Activities include:
Road Racing Program: Region 44 has members that compete in SCCA Club Racing, which is high speed wheel-to-wheel amateur road racing. Road race tracks are located in College Station, Corpus Christi, and the Dallas area. Many famous professional race drivers got their start in SCCA Club Racing. Other members participate in Club Racing by volunteering as race workers, performing such important tasks as timing, scoring, safety, corner workers, etc.
Overall, SCCA Region 44 is an active and growing organization made up of a diverse group of people whose common interests are automobiles and motorsports. If active participation in motorsports in your area sounds like your idea of fun, SCCA Region 44 is the place fore you to be!
